“I had pointed out the reasons for the growing gap between the army and the people in Pakistan through my letter yesterday. The most important need of the hour is to review the policies of the institutions keeping in mind the points of my letter to the Army Chief. Otherwise, this widening gap is against the interests of Pakistan. The work of the agencies is not to interfere in politics. If the institutions focus on fulfilling their duties instead of political vendettas, their prestige among the people will automatically increase.

Yesterday too, I had informed in my letter that unseen forces were flouting court orders and preventing Bushrah Begum from meeting me. Today, once again, despite court orders and the statement of the superintendent, my wife was not allowed to meet me, which is the hand of those who keep the law at the tip of their shoes and consider themselves above the constitution.

Bushrah Begum is a housewife and she is being targeted only to put pressure on me. She was previously kept in jail for ten months without any reason, and she is still in solitary confinement. Not allowing her to meet me is a violation of fundamental rights.
